My boys have been going to My Mother’s Hug since Jan, 2017. So, this review is long due. Initially, I was anxious about their transition as it’s was the first time they were in a group setting and outside home. The owner, Monica and her team was really supportive though the transition process and gotten them used to their day care routine within weeks. During the initial months, Monica used send us snaps of my kiddos activities, which to us was a sweet gesture.
It’s a clean, homely, loving yet structured and disciplined environment where my boys have flourished. They serve fresh home cooked meals and the menu changes every week. My picky eaters have learned to enjoy different dishes and fresh fruits. They have a separate potty training program for the interested parents. This is a huge plus for any busy parent!
The daily activities are engaging, educational (i.e., learning shapes, colors, alphabets, numbers etc.) as well as creative (i.e., painting, dancing etc) activities. Monica host’s special holiday parties i.e, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Christmas parties where the children generally put up a show as a team. In the process, they learn about the holiday, team participation and presentation.
Monica is warm and generous. She has given me valuable parenting insight from time to time. My children consider Monica’s house as their second home, They are not only attached to Monica, Poonam ji and Asha Ji, but also to Monica’s family members who have cared and loved them. This is a great home-based day care to be in.
